In my never ending quest to create THE most anal aphex twin site on the net I've been putting together some information for the rdj discog page which will go in the newly created 'etc.' section. I need the help of the IDM trainspotters for this one though. Here goes: Here are the available videos (as in tapes): ------------------------------- V I D E O S ------------------------------- FUTURE SHOCK ( ) THE APHEX TWIN AGEISPOLIS ___ (VHS. ) _______________ 3LUX-3 (1993) THE APHEX TWIN SCHOTTKEY 7th PATH US (VHS. ) _______________ ROCKVIDEO MONTHLY ALTERNATIVE RELEASES ù JUNE 1994 (1994) THE APHEX TWIN 8 ON (video) ( . - . ) US (PROMO VHS. 0694A (out of print)) WARNER MUSIC ENTERPRISES INC. note: The US promotional-only vhs video cassette for "Rockvideo Monthly Alternative Releases ù June 1994" is a new-release compilation showcasing videos from _________ of WARNER BROS.'s newest "alternative" artists, including one video by THE APHEX TWIN. note: Due to the fact that the US promotional-only vhs video cassette for "RockVideo Monthly Alternative Releases ù June 1994" is a video mix compilation, most all of the videos featured on it have been both edited and mixed into other videos. Track #8, "On (video)", has been partially lost in the mix as (the end of) track #7, " " by __________, fades into the beginning of it, and the end of it has been faded out prematurely into (the beginning of) track #9, " " by __________. The correct track time (for this particular release) is as appears above (the timing of this release starts at the beginning of the actual program, and disregards the commercials which precede it). Isn't there a TVT compilation with 'Quoth' on it behind some trippy raver graphics? Or am I trippin'... Now as for regular old MTV Style music videos here's what I have: 1. On (1994) - Directed by Jarvis Cocker 2. Westworld (1994) - Directed by Stakker 3. Ventolin (1995) - Directed by ???? 4. Donkey Ruhbarb (1995) - Directed by David Slade Is there a girl/boy vid? Anyone know who directed Ventolin? Am I missing any other videos? Onto other matters, T-shirts: These are the standard shirts available (yeah right) from the mail order address: Grey 'A' circle logo on Black shirt Black 'A' circle logo on Green shirt Brown 'A' circle logo on Grey shirt And of course they all have 'Aphex Twin' written in SAW II style right on the ass and all styles come in both long and short sleeve. I have also seen a SAW I T-shirt. I'm not sure if these were actually sold or this was a promotional thing. And, I've seen RDJ wearing a t-shirt with 'AFX' in small descending letters on the front. Anyone know anything about these two? Record shit: Here's what 4th World had to say regarding the I Care... promotional posters and bags:
quoted 4 lines the initial pressings came with a poster , but the bag was just a gimmick> the initial pressings came with a poster , but the bag was just a gimmick > given free to shops by the distributors pre-release to promote the album , most > of the shops given the bags probably threw them away or sold the latest cd by a > 'read about it in the nme' saddo indie band in them...
Does anyone know how many came with the poster? And of course, there is the limited promotional edition of the Girl/Boy EP (limited to 100 copies and mailed to press, etc.) containing a lock of RDJ's hair in a small plastic 'nickel bag' (hehe) with a hand numbered label denoting the number of the lock over 100. Other things: Also, can someone refresh my memory as to what else was available from the mail order address? I think they had small and large 'A' circle logo patches, correct? Also, what about the 'A' circle logo slip-mats from the SAW I era? Where these sold in stores or promo things? That's it unless anyone can think of any other weird stuff. Sorry for taking up the time of everyone sick of hearing about RDJ, but i really need help with this from some of the people who have been down longer than I have. God knows how I'm going to format this. At any rate, any and all help would be appreciated. Oh and as a special treat to all you beautiful people out there, I'll have the G-spot crew type up the complete text of the AB vol. 3 and AB vol. 4 info sheets and put them in the 'etc' section. How's that for generous? Really fucking going over the edge this time, _____ / ,-,_) /,_) (/ LESH Live & Direct from the G-Spot, Orange County, California, USA http://www1.linkonline.net/fresh/fresh.htm
